Founded in 1872 and published continuously since then, Publishers Weekly's print edition boasts 17,000+ subscribers with a pass-along rate of 4 readers per issue and is read by over 68,000 booksellers, publishers, public and academic librarians, wholesalers, distributors, educators, agents and writers. Publishers place ads in Publishers Weekly to notify the book trade about the new and active backlist titles currently available for the busy fall buying season. IBPA's special supplement highlights titles from the independent publishing community. There is strength in numbers!
IBPA offers two options for Publishers Weekly advertising: front cover advertising (non-guaranteed) and inside page advertising. To order inside page advertising, click here.
Special considerations -
- Cost is $950 per title for front cover advertising (non-guaranteed) and $450 per title for inside pages. See below for information about front cover placement then click here if interested in inside page advertising only.
- The print ad will run in the August 31, 2020 issue of Publishers Weekly. This is a special issue featuring the ‘Big Indie Books of the Fall.’

All IBPA members can order placement in the inside pages for $450. We're able to feature approximately 10 titles per page on the inside pages. All titles are listed in specific genres; each listing includes a brief description and all pertinent ordering information. All books in the inside pages are displayed in 4-color.
All IBPA members can request placement on the front cover for $950 by ordering above. We're able to feature only 12-14 titles indicative of the varying genres produced by our members on the front cover. This means, not everyone who requests the front cover can be placed there. All books on the front cover are displayed in 4-color.
If you request the front cover and we can't place you there, your title will run in its specific genre list within the inside pages and you will be refunded the additional $500 front cover fee.
