The IBPA member benefit

IBPA members receive a 10% discount on freelance editorial services from David Aretha.

By avoiding overhead and working efficiently, David keeps rates low. Typical rates (exclusive of the 10% IBPA member discount) include:

  • Proofreading: 1.1-1.4 cents
  • Copy editing: 1.5-2.5 cents
  • Manuscript review/critique: 1.6 cents
  • Developmental/Content editing: rates vary

David can also provide a 3-in-1: developmental/content editing, copy editing, proofreading for one low price. Everyone’s needs are different. To accommodate, IBPA members can send David a sample of their manuscript and ask him what they’d like him to do. He’ll provide a free sample edit as well as a quote (fee and completion date).
