The IBPA member benefit
IBPA's “Indie Titles
for Your Consideration” Bookstore Catalog is currently mailed quarterly (March, June, September, November) to approximately 3,500 chain and independent booksellers and buyers across the U.S. IBPA's mailing list includes 1,100
IndieBound bookstores and 2,400 sellers and buyers sourced from Ingram (their top accounts!) IBPA offers two options within the four-color, bookstore cooperative catalog: full-page
company ads (1 to 4 titles) and 1/4-page cooperative ads (single titles only.) See details below...
Upcoming Shipping Dates:
•Spring 2020 Bookstore Catalog - March 18, 2020
•Summer 2020 Bookstore Catalog - June 10, 2020*
*In lieu of printing a Summer 2020 bookstore catalog, IBPA has made a donation to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (BINC), to help support booksellers during this unprecedented health crisis. It’s during difficult times like these that we’re most proud to be part of an independent publishing community that leans in to help all stakeholders in our community.
The IBPA Bookstore Catalog will be back in Fall 2020, with the hope and expectation that by then, the vital bookstore sector will have substantially recovered and will again be hungry for books from independent publishers.
•Fall 2020 Bookstore Catalog - September 2, 2020
•Winter 2020 / 2021 Bookstore Catalog - November 11, 2020
For 2020, we've expanded the cooperative marketing impact of the catalog through the American Booksellers Association's (ABA's) Monthly Box Mailing program. The 750 Indie bookstores receiving ABA's Monthly Box Mailing earn their boxes by participating
in various IndieBound and ABA initiatives. This means that the most active and engaged bookstores in the United States will receive copies of IBPA’s “Indie Titles for Your Consideration” Bookstore Catalog!
Upcoming ABA's “Monthly Box Mailing” distribution dates for the IBPA Bookstore Catalog will be:
April 2020 (Spring 2020 Bookstore Catalog)
July 2020 (Summer 2020 Bookstore Catalog)*
October 2020 (Fall 2020 Bookstore Catalog), and
2021 (Winter 2020 / 2021 Bookstore Catalog).
The prices are $849 for a full-page ad (1 to 4 titles) and $249 for a quarter-page ad (single titles only). Repeat ads with no changes receive 10% off.
“Believe me, I have tried everything, and there are only two or three things in the Indie marketing arena that do work. IBPA's Bookstore Catalog has been effective for us!”
Charles Davis, Golden Lotus Publishing
"I want to thank you very much for sending me a personal copy of IBPA’s Indie Titles For Your Consideration Fall 2015 catalog. The quality of these productions is simply outstanding. I love the texture of the covers for the Indie Titles catalog. Your overall package presentation (cover letter insert) is very professional and thoughtfully written. These items were significant highlights to my month of September. I am very proud to be associated with such a fine, classy organization."
— Valerie Christopher, IBPA Member
"We love the thrill of introducing our community to the books they won't see at the grocery store, including those we find in IBPA's Indie Titles catalog. Books matter. Stories matter. People matter."
