Friday, June 19, 2020
(Lakeville, MA - June 19, 2020) -- The Independent Publishers of New England (IPNE) has established a fund to support independent publishers and authors in CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, or VT who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
IPNE's Pandemic Grant Fund will provide grants in the amount of $500 in cash or, in some cases, in kind (publishing services offered by donors) to qualified individuals.
To qualify for a grant, one must complete an application specifying:
- New England is your primary residence (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, or VT);
- you have published at least one book (by you or another author);
- what the grant will enable you to do;
- information pertaining to your contact details, your work, your online presence, and your current situation.
Applications will be processed in the order received. Our six-member grant committee will review applications on a rolling basis and notify recipients of awards as quickly as possible.
Awards will be provided to grant recipients either by check or PayPal. When services are awarded in lieu of money, recipients will be provided a coupon code and told how to contact the vendor.
IPNE encourages all qualified independent publishers and authors in need of funds to apply. Click here for the application form. For more information for applicants and donors click here.
In addition, IPNE continues to seek sponsorships for the fund. If you, or anyone you know, would like to be a sponsor, please make your check payable to IPNE, and send it to IPNE, PO Box 187, Farmington, ME, 04938, and write Pandemic Grant on the memo line.
You may also donate via PayPal. Simply email the amount of your sponsorship to email@example.com specifying your PayPal email address and IPNE will invoice you. Unless you say you wish to remain anonymous, your name or that of your organization will be listed as being a proud sponsor of our pandemic grant fund for writers and publishers.
Please note that these are sponsorships, and therefore not tax deductible.
Funds are limited, so please donate or apply now.
