Registration Open for IBPA's Virtual Annual Meeting of Members (April 28th @ 10AM PT)

(Manhattan Beach, CA - April 13, 2020) -- Today, the Independent Book Publishers Assocation (IBPA) officially announced it will host a virtual Annual Meeting of Members on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 from 10AM to 12PM Pacific in response to restrictions on travel and gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting agenda is below. All current IBPA members are encouraged to register here. Meeting login instructions will be sent to all registrants starting one week prior to the meeting.


  • Meeting Called to Order. Board Secretary confirms quorum has been achieved. At that point, the meeting is called to order by the Board Chair.
  • Welcoming Remarks from IBPA CEO.
  • "State of the Association" Remarks from IBPA Chair.
  • IBPA Committee Reports. IBPA Commtitee Chairs present highlights of fiscal year 2020 work.
  • IBPA Board Member Election. IBPA Nominating Committee presents six at-large candidates for nomination to IBPA Board of Directors. Click here for more information. Poll opens for motion to approve at-large IBPA Board candidates.
  • "Future Outlook" Remarks from IBPA Chair-Elect.
  • IBPA Board Member Election Results. IBPA Chair closes the poll with the motion to approve at-large IBPA Board candidates. Poll results announced.
  • IBPA Bylaws Revision. IBPA Secretary presents suggested changes to Member Types within the IBPA Bylaws. Click here for more information. Poll open for motion to approve bylaws revision.
  • Open Forum. Members in good standing are free to speak on any matter of interest to the community. Those interested should submit their intention to speak here prior to April 21st so room can be made for them on the agenda. Each person will have three minutes to speak. If they are in the middle of a sentence when time is called, they may finish their thought before stopping. The time guidelines ensure that others will have an opportunity to speak. Speakers may not allot their time to someone else.
  • IBPA Bylaws Revision Results. IBPA Chair closes the poll with the motion to approve IBPA bylaws revision. Poll results announced.
  • Q&A. Members in good standing ask questions of the IBPA Board and staff.
  • Adjourning Remarks from IBPA CEO.
  • Meeting Adjourned.
