IBPA Members Invited to Apply for Yale Publishing Course Award Program (Deadline: April 13, 2020)

For three years in a row, IBPA and the Yale School of Management partner to provide one IBPA member the opportunity to attend the 2020 Yale Publishing Course.
Must be a current IBPA member to apply. Application deadline: April 13, 2020.
(Manhattan Beach, CA - February 26, 2020) -- The Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), in partnership with the Yale School of Management Executive Education, is thrilled to announce the continuation of the IBPA Yale Publishing Course Award Program.
This unique award program, now in its third year, is designed to recognize IBPA members who provide innovative leadership within their organization and the independent publishing community at large. The award is valued at $5,850 and covers registration, books, materials, and meals for the week-long Yale Publishing Leadership Strategies in Book Publishing course (June 21, 2020 – June 26, 2020) for one IBPA member each year. The award does not cover travel or hotel costs.
Curriculum in the Yale Publishing Leadership Strategies in Book Publishing integrates practical wisdom from experts in publishing with research and management techniques from Yale School of Management professors. Tina C. Weiner is Program Director. Kristen Sorek West is Associate Director of Marketing, and Julie Hawthorne is Director of Client & Curriculum Development.

Previous winners of the IBPA Yale Publishing Course Award Program include Laura Stanfill of Forest Avenue Press (2018) and Erin Green of Boys Town Press (2019).
Of her experience as IBPA’s 2018 award recipient, Ms. Stanfill said, "The Yale Publishing Course elevated my skills, increased my confidence, and helped me become a more effective and empowered leader in the industry. I connected with colleagues from around the world, took an entire journal full of notes, and earned insights about my own personal management style."
