(New York, NY and San Francisco, CA - June 20, 2019) -- Levine Querido, the newly founded children’s publisher from Arthur A. Levine, announces a distribution partner in fellow independent Chronicle Books.

Chronicle Books will distribute Levine Querido’s publishing throughout North America and to select export territories, beginning with Levine Querido’s launch season in Fall 2020. This first list will include Daniel Nayeri’s 12-years-in-the-making autobiographical middle grade novel, Everything Sad is Untrue (A True Story); Apple: Skin to the Core, a YA memoir-in-verse by Eric Gansworth; Elatsoe, the ghostly YA debut from Darcie Little Badger, illustrated by Rovina Cai; and more. The full Arthur A. Levine and Em Querido lists will consist of picture books, poetry, novels, nonfiction, and graphic novels.

Levine, President and Editor-in-Chief of LQ, says, “From the very start, Chronicle was our ideal distribution partner. I have long been an admirer of the excellence and creativity they bring to every endeavor of the publishing process, from the production of their books, to their immense reach and reputation across national, institutional, and special markets, to their overarching commitment to “seeing things differently”. I could not imagine a better team to help us put Levine Querido titles into the hands of young readers everywhere.”

Tyrrell Mahoney, President of Chronicle Books, comments, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Arthur and the Levine Querido team. The mission and passion behind LQ, to seek out and feature exceptional talent that represents the wonderful diversity of our country and our world, aligns perfectly with our core values at Chronicle. The collaboration between our two companies makes complete sense and we could not be more delighted!”
