About the Program

Do you dread writing your author bio? (Or have authors who need some help with theirs?)

If you’re struggling to write a bio you’re proud of, unclear on where to begin, or just need to improve what you already have, this class is for you. (It’s also for publishers with authors whose bios could level-up.)

Writing a professional bio is the first step to creating a polished, powerful, personal brand. An author’s bio is their chance to control the narrative of who they are. It’s often their introduction to the people who matter most—their audience. An author’s bio is their pitch!

Personal branding expert Jeniffer Thompson will reveal her proven Bio-Writing Formula, share before and after examples, and provide worksheets to gently guide you through the process.

This session will cover how to write a bio that:

  • Fully represents the best of you
  • Establishes trust and credibility
  • Creates engagement by speaking to the needs of your audience

Plus, you’ll learn about the various types of bios you need as an author, how long those bios should be, and from which perspective to write them. Finally, Jeniffer will provide helpful tips and worksheets to build your brand, find your audience, and increase your visibility.

Attend this IBPA PubU Online webinar to craft your best author bio!
