IBPA Member Bi-Monthly Roundtable (FREE FOR MEMBERS)

Join the IBPA staff and Board of Directors for a free online discussion of issues currently impacting the independent publishing community.

About the Program

Launched in April 2020 as a response to members' desire to gather virtually during the COVID-19 Shelter-in-Place directives, the IBPA Member Roundtables have become an anticipated gathering of IBPA members on a bi-monthly basis. IBPA members can register for each roundtable free-of-charge to learn, ask questions, and gather support and ideas from the IBPA community.

During this August 6th IBPA Member Roundtable, juvenile fiction author and former teacher Jane R. Wood will share the many strategies she has used since 2004 to market and sell thousands of her books to schools. Jane will also discuss the unique challenges that authors face today with the impact the coronavirus is having on education.

About Jane R. Wood: Jane R. Wood is the author of a series of five award-winning juvenile fiction books and a nonfiction How-To book for authors called Schools: A Niche Market for Authors. A former middle school and high school English teacher, newspaper reporter, and television producer, Jane weaves history and science into stories filled with mystery, adventure, and humor for young readers ages 8-14. Teachers like her books for their educational value; students like them because they’re fun! Jane earned a BA from the University of Florida and an M.Ed from the University of North Florida. She is the past-president of the Florida Authors and Publishers Association and lives in Jacksonville, Florida. To learn more about Jane and her books, go to
