St. Louis Publishers Association (SLPA), an IBPA affiliated association, hosts "Book Clubs: What Every Self-Publisher & Author Should Know" on October 9, 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri. Details below....

From the SLPA website:

Book clubs originated to bring together people through the common enjoyment of reading and discussion. How can you as an author present your book to be featured on their reading list? Selection criteria can vary greatly, even within your local area.

Explore the realities beyond common perceptions, understand why members join particular clubs and gain valuable information to help get your title into their group.

Doors open at 6:30pm for networking; meeting begins at 7:00pm

Monthly meeting cost: FREE for SLPA members, $10 for non-members pf SLPA (guest fee will be applied to membership if you decide to join at that meeting)

For more information, visit the SLPA website.
