Greening Your Publishing Program

Can you afford to be green? Patagonia publisher shares what’s she’s learned about sustainability in book publishing.

The choices you have to make when you send your book to the printer can be confusing. Add that you want your book to have the smallest environmental footprint possible, and they get really overwhelming. The good news is there are more green options than ever before. In this detailed presentation, Patagonia publisher Karla Olson will outline the choices you can make to green your publishing program, from manuscript to printed book.

  • To print domestic or overseas?
  • FSC, PCW, coated, uncoated, matte, gloss: What are the best paper choices for the environment?
  • Can you afford to use paper with recycled content, and will your book look good?
  • Other decisions you will make include finishes and binding choices, inks, as well as packing and shipping.
  • Can you afford to be green?

In this webinar you will learn how to minimize your book’s environmental footprint without breaking the bank.
