About the Program:
Over 80% of the American population reports a desire to publish a book, and the expanding opportunities to publish via various publishing models (traditional, self, and hybrid) have created an exciting yet complex landscape for aspiring authors and their publishers.
The shifting dynamics of the publishing industry also create economic opportunities, as well as pitfalls, for both authors and publishers. Most aspiring authors have heard some of the more dramatic stories around the economics of publishing, from million dollar royalty checks on the positive side to publishers and authors going bankrupt on the negative side. However, how can we know what is to be expected as the average or “normal” investment and return on one’s publishing journey?
In this webinar, we’re going way beyond simple anecdotal advice about how to increase your return on investment in your publishing journey to dig into the real, unwashed and unbiased data from a survey of dozens of authors competed in 2017.
Specifically, you’ll learn how to:
- Avoid the #1 mistake authors make on their publishing journey
- Position your publishing services for optimal satisfaction
- Create a realistic budget for your publishing journey
- Raise your “happiness factor” as both an author and publisher
