“Be persistent: good things take time.”
Why did you become a book publisher? I love books.
What do you like best about publishing? Changing people's lives.
What do you publish? Christian resources.
What is the most effective form of marketing for your press? Email blasts, Amazon giveaways, catalogs, conferences, publicity and press releases.
How do you define a successful title? A book that is truthful in content, beautiful in form, and widespread in influence.
Tell us about one of your titles about which you are especially proud. God's Super-Apostles: Encountering the Worldwide Prophets and Apostles Movement has sold well since its release in November 2014 and it has garnered excellent reviews. But the most satisfaction it brings is the health it provides for the church.
What has been your biggest challenge in achieving success? So much competition. It's hard to stand out.
What advice do you have for newcomers to book publishing? Be persistent: good things take time.
How will you and your company be positioned in five years? I hope to have more than 50 titles on my list.
When you're not fully immersed in publishing, what do you do for fun? Golfing.
