Why did you become a book publisher? 1)To have complete control over the production process. 2)To receive a larger share of book sales revenue to use to promote the public policies detailed in the book.
What do you like best about publishing? Producing a medium through which potential exists to exert some influence on our nation’s advancement in a more just and democratic direction.
What do you publish? A book detailing public policy proposals that, if instituted, would create a more prosperous and much more just and democratic society.
What is the most effective form of marketing for your press? I am a new publisher who will soon publish a first book. Book launch being planned now.
How do you define a successful title? One that influences national public policy, and is purchased by at least 200,000 people.
Tell us about one of your titles about which you are especially proud. The New Enlightenment details policies that will: • End Unemployment. • Lift tens of millions of Americans out of poverty to a standard of living that now exists in the middle class and substantially improve the standard of living of tens of millions more. • Reduce full-time work-hours 10%, or to 36 hours per week. • Transform the economic system over a two decade transition period to one where worker controlled and owned business enterprises will perform most of the economic activity of the country • Eliminate the dominating importance of money in elections and thereby allow a meaningful democracy to exist. • Transform the ownership and management structure of many media corporations, through regulations and incentives. This will create a new media culture more responsive and accountable to the majority. • Eliminate tuition for public colleges. This will help meet our ideal of equal opportunity for all, and help create the well-informed citizenry needed for a well-functioni

What advice do you have for newcomers to book publishing? I am a newcomer and am seeking advice.
How will you and your company be positioned in five years? I will be better able to know this after the book launch. A follow-up public policy book will be published.
When you're not fully immersed in publishing, what do you do for fun? Gardening and reading about and foraging for wild edible plants.
