“Achieving success is when I am “Tickled Pink” when I am stopped on the streets or in the Mall and people tell me how much they enjoyed my novel.  It make me want to write a sequel.  I am satisfied when other people are completed emphatic about my novels….”

Why did you become a book publisher? Self publishing and semi-contracting your own manuscripts, means a greater ability to express your own ideas in writing. As a fiction writer, I sometimes use "Scripted" dialog, to make my fictitious novels, seem, more authentic. The methods used opens up the minds of the reader and expands the thresholds of the mind. The method of using "Scripted" dialog in a novel, also helps me as a writer. As a writer of four published novels, I can continue to write with the daily occurrences of everyday life. The technique makes me, as the writer, go on and on, and it makes a interesting story line. You can start a manuscript and information will: Come Out The Wood-Work, while you are typing your first draft. I learned this technique from taking classes at The UCLA, Extended, Motion Picture and Film Program. It works for me!

What do you like best about publishing? I enjoy making up characters, bringing in Life, into my writings, making the character seem for real and credible. I do not enjoy terminating my main character; so I make it seems that my main character is "DEAD" but, in a unknowingly ending, such as, a earthquake, fire or drowning, one can not really know it the character is still alive. The character may reappear in another novel. I am privy to that option in my writings.

What do you publish? I write and publish Mainstream fiction.

What is the most effective form of marketing for your press? Blogging and book tours work for me, since the readers want to know who you are and ask the most salient questions: How Do You Do It? What were you thinking and where did you get your ideas from? I can appear like a lone stranger, off the streets, with no skills in writing what so ever, but once questions are asked of my characters, the characters are part of me, I invented them and establishing characterization is like; for those of you that have ever raised children; from the bonding stages, to the stage of releasing your baby, I mean your character, into the mean cruel world. You hope that you have established, written enough qualities in your fictitious character, so they can be a good member of the society, overcome their deficiencies and come to grips with there inadequacies. It makes good reading.

How do you define a successful title? The title should go directly to each and every paragraph and charter of the novel. You can place the reader in a seductive "Clause" by not giving them a clue, until the end of the novel, and then bring into print, the title, but I feel that I would be "Cheating" my readers. I use the title: Subliminally, and then, give the reader a Big Surprise in about the fourth chapter, where I mention, in the novel, The Actual Title; not too "Fool" the reader, too long….

Tell us about one of your titles about which you are especially proud. One of my Titles: The Gene Factor; is a novel about Genetics, DNA and the human evolution of creation. Religion has a lot of critical connotations that may get me in trouble with the Church, so in The novel: The Gene Factor, I subliminally, use The Genetic Gene, Genome, to express, in the novel, how prayers, believe and faith is manifested. You must be careful when you mix religion and science.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving success? Achieving success is when I am "Tickled Pink" when I am stopped on the streets or in the Mall and people tell me how much they enjoyed my novel. It make me want to write a sequel. I am satisfied when other people are completed emphatic about my novels….

What advice do you have for newcomers to book publishing? New comers should join organizations such as: ibpa and the Palm Springs Writers Guild. It is a Treasure Troll of information and collaborating with other Authors is essential for those that would like to continue their skills and their techniques in writing that Great Novel one day.

How will you and your company be positioned in five years? Hopefully, as a self publisher and contracted author, in which I do everything from my Lap Top computer at my home. I wish to show others how they can produce a Great Novel, in half the time that it took me to write, pitch and get the results that I have received from my novels.

When you're not fully immersed in publishing, what do you do for fun? I have fun taking care of my grandchildren. They are so wonderful too watch and I learn from watching them learn about the world. Some of the things that we, as writer, take for granted, are at the whims of a child, as they look, the touch, they smell and they get disciplined. Characters in a manuscript, go through the same process. It is amazing, also, to watch the animals in the wild. The animals have such great sensory, the sensory that was lost when man-kind and women kind, have apparently lost through time. Animals and Children, may be my next novel. If can ever think of a Title….
