“We enjoy working with everybody — and from what ever step in the publishing path they need.”

Why did you become a book publisher? We became a source for individuals to come to in order to self-publish. Some come to us with a dream, handwritten manuscript and desire complete interior and exterior book design as well as printing. Others have either the cover file or the interior file just as they like it (or both) and simply need book printing. Still, others have another book printer selected but only want design.

What do you like best about publishing? We enjoy working with everybody -- and from what ever step in the publishing path they need.

What do you publish? We help self-publishers realize their dream.

What is the most effective form of marketing for your press? In the past, we sent a direct mailer to every individual who purchased an ISBN. Over time, that seemed to miss a lot of people when online publishers began cropping up offering "free" bar codes. Now, we rely heavily on referrals and the internet.

How do you define a successful title? Success means different things to different self-publishers. Some seek money. Some seek fame (vanity publishing). We offer services to all and help them to realize their potential.

Tell us about one of your titles about which you are especially proud. One author published ten books with us from start to finish. He was a wonderful mystery writer. He was my personal favorite because he brought his text on a floppy disk, each chapter was a file. From there, we designed everything... and he loved it all! He was very proud to show his books around.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving success? Our biggest challenge has been in reaching self-publishers. We're a small family owned business which sometimes works to our advantage... and sometimes doesn't.

What advice do you have for newcomers to book publishing? Decide what your drive is -- is it fame or fortune? If it's fortune, you better be ready to pound the streets and market your book! It can be rewarding but we've had people with great books have to hire employees to market.

How will you and your company be positioned in five years? We hope to be producing more books and different manners. Currently, we can produce perfect bound, spiral bound, and saddle stitch books. Our hope is to add hard bound books.

When you're not fully immersed in publishing, what do you do for fun? Fun?
