“The best thing about publishing is sharing what I think is a good story. “

Why did you become a book publisher? I have recently learned that my books, including the just released Prison Trilogy, offered to indie bookstores is at a retail price. That makes no sense. I will reprint on my own, self-stock and market to indies at wholesale price.

What do you like best about publishing? Sharing what I think is a good story.

What do you publish? Both nonfiction and fiction. Most recently the nonfiction, The Prison Trilogy.

What is the most effective form of marketing for your press? Magazine advertising.

How do you define a successful title? Favorable readership, acceptance, and enjoyment.

Tell us about one of your titles about which you are especially proud. Observer: The Colonel George Trofimoff Story, the tale of America's highest-ranking military officer convicted of spying, is the true story of a man serving life who may not have been guilty. At the very minimum, the FBI sting and the trial were a perversion of justice.

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving success? The marketing process, while necessary, is so time consuming and intensive that it takes away form further writing.

What advice do you have for newcomers to book publishing? Think before you leap with publishing services.

How will you and your company be positioned in five years? Hopefully, we will have accomplished our current marketing goals and be on to writing another book.

When you're not fully immersed in publishing, what do you do for fun? I review books.
