Why did you become a book publisher? Being a teacher has allowed me to see first-hand what is missing at home and in the school system. I wanted to publish books that encourage kids to be leaders and to devote more of their time to reading. I believe our humorous, inspiring, and educational book series will encourage kids to incorporate reading into their daily routine.

What do you like best about publishing? I enjoy working together with my team to produce high quality work.

What do you publish? We publish chapter books, interactive journals, coloring books, activity books, and more.

What is the most effective form of marketing for your press? Facebook and book events has been our most effective form of marketing.

How do you define a successful title? A successful title is one that captures the attention of parents, teachers, librarians, children, and etc. For example, my first book, Broccoli Chronicles won the 2015 National Indie Excellence Award in Children’s Fiction and has been selected as a finalist in Foreword Reviews’ 2014 ‪INDIEFAB‬ Book of the Year Award for Juvenile Fiction! These two awards prove that the community supports our efforts.

Tell us about one of your titles about which you are especially proud. I am especially proud of the awards we've won. My first book, Broccoli Chronicles won the 2015 National Indie Excellence Award in Children’s Fiction and has been selected as a finalist in Foreword Reviews’ 2014 ‪INDIEFAB‬ Book of the Year Award for Juvenile Fiction!

What has been your biggest challenge in achieving success? Our biggest challenge has been increasing our sales. Although we have tons of support from our community, it hasn't translated into sales just yet.

What advice do you have for newcomers to book publishing? Publishers and self-publishers should build their platform prior to releasing their first book. It makes it easier to sell copies when people already know who you are.

How will you and your company be positioned in five years? I pray that each book we release will win an award plus, I would like for us to be on the New York's Best Sellers List. Also, it would be nice to sale 1,000,000 copies.

When you're not fully immersed in publishing, what do you do for fun? Spend time with my family.
