In fall 2014, Bowker reported that self-published books topped 450,000 in 2013. Beat Barblan, Bowker’s Director of Identifier Services, commented that these numbers indicate that the “self-published market…is maturing into a serious business” and is “evidence of a move by self-publishers to business-owner rather than writer only.”
Join IBPA on January 7, 2015 for an exploration of this report with Beat and Laura Dawson of Bowker.
This webinar will focus on:
- A review of Bowker’s report on self-published titles produced in 2013.
- A Q&A during which IBPA members will discuss their needs as self-publishers.
- A brief overview of the Bowker benefits provided by IBPA to its members.
Please contact Molly Farragher if you would like to submit questions/points of interest before the live presentation.
