About the series:

ISBN’s and Identifiers: Standards Basics for Independent Publishers is the 2nd webinar in a 3-part webinar series entitled “Standards Basics for Independent Publishers.”

Series summary: As an independent or small publisher, you know that sales of your book depend on using the right BISAC code and formatting the other book information so that your cover, description, and complete publication details show up correctly on retailer websites. Do you ever wonder how to best meet these book industry standards?

BISG and IBPA will guide you through the most important of them in three webcasts intended to help ensure your books reach more readers more quickly. Each webcast is taught by a publishing industry expert who has worked with a major publishing organization and has been an active member of the BISG committee that developed the standard in question.

During this webinar, you will learn:

— All the necessary information about using ISBN’s, UPC, and EAN codes
— Standards for when to use a new ISBN for different editions
— How to use the identifier you need to ensure your retail partners can list and display your books accurately
