Meeting of Minds: Independent Publishers Set For An International Gathering At The London Book Fair
On the eve of the London Book Fair, independent publishers from many countries are set to gather together for a social evening in the City of London – and IBPA members are warmly invited to be among their number.
There is a nicely informal network developing, linking associations which represent independent publishers around the world. They will be gathering at Stationers’ Hall, the home of copyright across the centuries (Shakespeare’s First Folio was registered at Stationers’ Hall in the Bard’s lifetime, and the tradition continued up to the twentieth century). Stephen Page, Chief Executive of Faber & Faber, and Lorenzo Ribaldi, Managing Director of Rome-based La Nuova Frontiera, will be amongst those welcoming guests to London.
Join colleagues from the IPG in the UK, ODEI in Italy, the SPN from Australia, the Alliance Internationale in France, and many others, for an evening of networking and convivial conversation, with some good wine and a buffet-style meal to accompany the occasion.
Tickets for the event are £25, to include drinks and a light meal. You can sign up for the event here, on the Stationers’ Company website. Bring your colleagues, friends and family, and get the Fair off to an sociable and informative start.
