Any time you publish or author an article, a book, or operate a blog you become a potential target for a lawsuit; often a staggeringly expensive one. Defamation, libel, invasion of privacy, plagiarism and copyright/trademark infringement lawsuits are just a few of the potential risks.

The policy will be an “occurrence form” policy providing traditional media perils (such as, but not limited to, libel, plagiarism, piracy, copyright infringement, defamation, infringement of the right of privacy or publicity, outrage, infliction of emotional distress, and misappropriation of property rights) ­ not a facsimile. The legal defense costs will be included.
