Exciting New Offer for IBPA Members from Nielsen BookScan:

IBPA has just entered into an agreement with Nielsen BookScan that will allow IBPA members to obtain access to their site at a special IBPA member rate of $880.89 for one year access (slight annual increases may apply). Program limited to members with annual revenues of $3.5 million or less.

You will receive one (1) ID each, allowing you to access Data/Reports, defined as access to Title Reports and Bestseller Reports, described below:

Title Reports: Through the title reports users can search for sales information for individual titles by title, author/editor or ISBN. Through the Title Report screen users are given several report options:

National Sales: a geographic breakdown of sales

DMA Sales: a breakdown of sales by designated market area Selected DMA‚s: a function that allows the user to look at only specific DMA sales for a title

DMA Index: an indication of the relative level, and by inference, value, of one thing by comparison to another. It is an empirical ratio, which can be used to formulate conclusions.

Bestseller and Sales History: A week-by-week sales history of a title.

Author History: list of titles by author

Bestseller Reports: This report allows users to create a YTD overall bestseller chart or a customized bestseller report choosing (from Report Type) Adult Fiction, Adult Non-Fiction, Children and Other. From there users can sort on front list/backlist, format, and category (under List) using the down arrow key to scroll through the options.

On the Bestseller chart users are able to see this week, last week, and YTD sales figures of all publishers titles and, from there, drill into the Title Reports.
