BPA members to receive a 10% discount on select services as a client of KSB Promotions

Kate Bandos has worked with hundreds of publishers and authors, and dealt with a wide array of media people during her nearly 40 years in publishing. Since the formation of KSB Promotions in 1988, she has primarily helped independent publishers garner media exposure. Prior to the formation of KSB Promotions, Kate was publicity director for M. Evans & Company (NYC), Globe Pequot Press (CT) and Pelican Publishing (LA).

Handling national, regional, and local and carefully targeted campaigns, Kate and her husband/partner Doug work with non-fiction titles only, specializing in travel guides, parenting, gardening, cookbooks, home how-to, consumer health, select children’s books and other general lifestyle books.

Media Releases:

* KSB will prepare a targeted or general purpose media release using the manuscript or book.

* KSB will send it to the publisher/author for comments, and make any agreed upon changes.

* KSB will then prepare a camera-ready master in Quark Xpress or pdf (with art, if appropriate).

* Variations on the initial release or subsequent specialty releases will be negotiated separately.

Constant Contact Release Layout:

* KSB will do a special html layout of a completed release to be sent via email through CC or a comparable service whereby it appears as the content of the email and not as an attachment. It will include contact information so the media can request a review copy or arrange an interview.

* Client will get to approve message before it is sent out. Samples can be sent first upon request.
